Cookies and storage
Cookie Policy
Understand which cookies and local storage technologies Kardive uses and when consent is needed.
What cookies are
Cookies and similar technologies can store or read information on a browser or device. They can be necessary for security and navigation, or optional when used for analytics, advertising, personalization or other non-essential purposes.
Strictly necessary storage
Kardive uses strictly necessary cookies or browser storage only when they are required to provide the website or application features requested by the user. These technologies are not used for advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking.
- Authentication and session security
- SSO state
- Account and security workflows
- User-requested app behavior
Optional analytics and advertising measurement
Kardive can load Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement only after consent where required. These tools help understand which pages, calculators and product actions are useful, without sending emails, pseudos, passwords, tokens or raw user identifiers to analytics platforms.
Current storage list
The application uses kardive_auth, an HTTP-only authentication cookie set by the backend after login to keep the user session secure. It is SameSite=Lax, limited to the application path, and expires according to the authentication token lifetime or logout. The app can also use kardive_cookie_consent to remember the cookie choice, kardive_first_touch_attribution to remember first-party attribution after consent, and kardive.auth.onboarding.pending in sessionStorage to complete the signup onboarding flow. A legacy localStorage key named kardive.auth.token may be read and immediately removed during migration from older versions.
Managing choices
Users can accept or reject optional analytics and advertising measurement from the cookie banner. They can also clear cookies and browser storage from their browser settings at any time. Rejecting optional measurement does not block the core product, but strictly necessary storage remains required for login, account security, SSO and user-requested workflows.
Consent mode
By default, analytics and advertising storage are denied before the user makes a choice. If the user accepts, Kardive updates Google Consent Mode for analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization. If the user rejects, those purposes remain denied.
